take a drive around the lake in march when the ice is goin out, current areas will be the first to disappear, these are good spots to target after opener

How big muskie did you catch in Scugog river?
I find they are plenty of small muskie in river.

Scugog used to be very good on muskie fishing but recent several yr it's tough due to high pressure.

Trolling is my go to Scugog technique. Troll the weed edges aroung Washburn Island using jointed Musky-Stalker style crankbaits - Jailbird pattern is my favorite for Scugog. Dont let a lot of line out - just enough behind the boat for the lure to dissappear under the surface behind the propwash - and troll quickly. 3-5 mph range. You will spend some time cleaning weeds off of the lures but that is part of the deal. The bouy markers off of the tip of Washburn are a good place to start...go from there to the swim beach and back. Oh ya - and HOLD ON!

Good luck!

Kevin

The pic is of a 39 incher caught in that very spot trolling a black/orange 3oz spinnerbait.

I had a 34incher eat the transducer on my vex a few years back right beside that bouy! Saw the mark comin up so i kept leadin him like i normally do for walleyes, all of a sudden the foam on the cable starts bobbin, i pull it up an out pops a ski with the ducer in his mouth! Cut the wire up bad an had to replace it. Has anyone else ever had this happen? You know what they say, any colour is good for muskie as long as its black
