Easy access Pan fish lake, family fun

Hi everyone
Coming from Dorset south on 35
Looking for a easy access lake with good mixture of pan fish some where south of us
no problems traveling couple hours
Have 4 kiddos very excited for pan fish this year as it been a couple years since we have moved from lake st clair area.
any help would be appreiciated

Simcoe Perch,can't get any better! Unless you know a Crappie hole or two! Lol

And no body going to give up their honey hole.

I suggest with the kids an outfitter on cooks bay. Nice warm hut, transportation, minnows and it’s safe. Also usually pretty good perch with the odd pike , herring or whitie in the mix. Did it with my son and his papa one day last year at minus 35 and we had a blast.

I second that you can't go wrong with the perch on Simcoe. Whether fishing on foot or with an operator, there are plenty of options around there to keep the kids interested.

Hope to hit simcoe as well but looking more down into the kawarthas.

looking more for what is a good launch location tackle shop for bait etc.

equipped and rigged with gear and machines on my end juts never fished that area

Look more into your area, you don't need to drive all the way to simcoe to keep the kids catching panfish. Certain areas with green weeds and such will hold more panfish. They are closer then you think. Goodluck !

Mostly trout lakes around your area but there are a few that are decent for panfish. Head like right down town in haliburton is an option. Word of caution, stay far away from the rivers flowing in a out of that lake. Go straight out from the gov docks. Lake couchiching from tudhope park or virtually any access point on simcoe can get you into some good perch fishing. Kawarthas are hit and miss. Most of them are the same, if you know where to look you'll do well. Have a safe season

If travel is not an issue I would try looking north of Dorset not south, the further south you travel the ice becomes more iffy due to warmer climate and most lakes down here are over fished.

Rice Lake, Bewdley they have bait shop there and easy access to the lake lots of perch and the odd crappie goodluck with your search!

Go to chemong lake by causeway bridge. There is a bait shop there for minnows

hit up Rice Lake out of Bewdley, tackle shop right were you access the lake
