Yup...I remember that day well. Reaching inside of that big buggers mouth with your fingers was NOT the smartest idea you have ever had there Newf... but to tell you the truth, I have done it too, ONCE!

I had to go back close to 6 years to find a pic that showed a decent fish. All else is the same - more wrinkles & new glasses. This was in a Nip. bungalow.

Here I am on a WAAAY colder December day, love those December Cooks Bay pike! We would carve a large hole with a chainsaw in aproxx. 10 fow, close the door and watch the aquarium show

Yeah? Could be, like I say, never had much experience with Bass. The colour in these shots is not good, and they had faded a little from when I first caught them on a rocky/sandy shoal off Keswick. Although come to think of it, both were caught on surface baits. Here's a pic from a Smallmouth website for comparison. Looks pretty close to what I have?
