Beautiful Weekend, Unexpected Catch

Had a boys weekend. Not a fishing trip just a get together.
I however threw a rod and tackle box in the car at the last second.
On Saturday we did a hike into a back lake and I thought I may as well bring the rod and grabbed a spinnerbait. We stopped at a nice spot, just chilled and had a few beers in the beautiful setting. Third cast on a stone flat, sparse weeds, no wind about 12 noon and this chunky guy hammered the spinnerbait. I released him after the pic but he was thick, I'd say close to 4Lb. Beautiful colours and the lake was gorgeous. One side is crown land and the other is private based on the info I was given. No development whatsover.
