Smolt Trout Group: Members Posts: 117 Member No.: 20215 Joined: January 27, 2023	Over this past Canada Weekend my youngest son got married in Edmonton. We flew out Thursday morning and got back home yesterday. We had a great time and the wedding was spectacular. On the Saturday before the wedding (Wedding was on Monday - Canada Day) some of us found ourselves with time to kill. So i chartered a pontoon boat on Wabamun Lake about 60K west of the city complete with a local guide and all tackle. We fished for 4 hours and landed 69 walleye between myself, my oldest son and my nephew. Was a beautiful day and the fish bite was non-stop. All fish were between 13 inches and 20 inches with 15 to 16 being the most common. Son: Nephew: Self:

Tree is all cleaned up for now but I suspect it is done for as the trunk is actually split all the way to ground level.

Was a beautiful day. Lake is about 90 square kms. So about 1/10 the size of Nip or Simcoe.
