While I don't fish for the PPPPthings, I usually follow what happens with the Perch Festival.

The last 2 Sundays I've driven over the bridge at Atherley while on the way to fiddle jams/square dances and I've seen very few boats on the water and only a few people fishing from shore.

Last weekend there was limited open water, whereas this weekend Simcoe is open as far South as you can see.

Are people losing interest? Have any tagged fish been caught?

Just curious.

Sounds like things are pretty slow still. Maybe this week things will pickup.

Seems a lil slow in the narrows, maybe watewr temp, I know in McPhee Bay the jumbos are on, shallower and warmer temps, taisty critters they are!

Very slow everywhere right now, unless you enjoy Braised Sucker fish.

Next couple weeks will start getting things going.....

My brother in law had been shore fishing four days in a row by the narrows with not a single perch to show for it Can't wait to get the boat in after all this rain - Hearing it chug beside the barn isn't doing it for me anymore...
