Just got home from a successful moose hunt with the bows north of Kirkland Lake. 5 of us hunted in that brutal heat then one of the local guys called in a nice bull on Wed. morning. Shot it at 10 yds. straight on & it went 50 ft. & droped on the trail. NICE. He shot it at 7:30 & we had it skinned , quartered & hanging in his walk in cooler at 10:30. Not used to that as he usually shoots them in swamps & it takes 12 hrs. to get it out. We had a great feast of loins that night & will butcher it in 2 weeks. The bow season for deer starts in 2 days so I have to get moving. Cheers
