Bagged a small 7 pt. last night at 20 yds. Only went 50 ft. & dropped near the road. I finally learned in my old age not to drop them 1/2 a mile back in the bush. Lots of moose & deer to eat this year but what to do now. Cheers

Congrats! That's awesome.

Please explain how you get them to run towards the road. The ones I shoot always run into the swampiest thickest brambles and drop. LOL

My stand is only 150 ft. from the road. I like it there as I can clear my throat or cough a little when a vehicle goes by. Of the 7 deer I have taken off this stand none have gone more than 30 yds. My Excalibur Equinox really wacks them at 20 yds. The bush I hunt is very thick which the deer like. I always take my time so as to get a good shot in. Cheers

Nice! Always nice to drop it near a road or trail! Congrats on your deer.
