Great fish fun time! I’ve seen more rock bass this year than I had for quite some time including some big ones…

Ty. both rock bass and largemouth were introduced into the lake some 30 years ago and they have thrived whereas the perch are on the decline the rock bass are great when we get young ones up there and take them fishing with a float and tube......easily get a bite or fish every cast

Mike........ya man zipped off some drag as it was trying to head back to a large tree. exactly how I lost the other ones Drew....not B Lou but I will keep trying thanks for the nice replies fellas being there and very few people around is what it is all about,,the fishing is great but there are some tougher days...who cares, just fun to be out there going back in 10 days or so I hope

I’ve caught the largest Rock bass this year than ever. I tend to throw them back and eat small/large mouths only…. But that’s just me… probably 15 years since the last Rock bass I ate…

LS good to hear you made it to the cottage and had some great fishing. I personally will eat a RB way before before the SM and LM, of the 3 I will only keep the RB, trouble is getting them big enough,

Why did the Ministry release rock bass in many lakes?

MNRF didn't release them people brought them in....I saw them do it and had some words but damage was done Thanks for all the comments guys Disco........I put that pic up just for you And for myself I will take rock bass over any other bass anytime and my pet gets the leftovers lots of plus 10 inchers at certain times of the year and or location
