Second outing of the year today couldnt ask for better weather, out with another board member today we went 11/13 today all lakers between 5 and 8 pounds and one salmon 8 pounds. water temps warmed up from last time out only boated two lakers this time probably could have caught more had we tried. were looking for salmon with baits higher up and couldnt keep the lakers off

Try running your baits deeper much like a summer program for salmon. They will ignore temps in search of food this time of year. i start looking for 47 degree water at the cannonball in may/june for salmon, thats also the magic temp that smelt begin showing up on structure in waters of 70-100 however im also fishing based on what i see on the finder. Key is to switch it up regularly this time of year. Good outings for you, I was out last saturday and did all the islands. Water was icey and blank screens. I hear some bait is starting to show up around the Tomb

lol happy to help. Good rainbow fishing in the shallows right now on Southern shorelines 10-20ft Also if anxious to troll for salmon or lakers then put out a flatline minimum 300' back with smaller spoons or jointed body baits.

I might have the Kayak with me next week and launch around Cedar point and do some bows.....they are so tasty out of Georgian Bay. Thx bud...you are the GB guru.

Terrific catch! Does time of day matter a lot for lakers and salmon? I find after 11am action is done so was considering earlier…say start at 8:00 ish…what are your thoughts. Thanks….

early is better for sure , that being said they can be caught mid day as well high sun will sometimes push salmon to deeper water lakers not so much you may have to work a little harder to get them mid day . The hours before sunset can also be good for salmon.
