Is there a consensus on how best to thoroughlyvclean your graph screen without damaging any protective film? I have noticed a purple/bluish film on my screen reduces the screen clarity. I would love to remove this annoying film, but not want to damage the graph screen or any protective film. Does anyone have any ideas?

Another way to prevent scratches etc, is to put a new protective film on top when they are new (you can replace the film if it gets scuffed up). I don't know about the newer sonars and assume they will be better UV protected but the plastic of the screen of the older models will slowly deteriorate with lots of sunlight exposure and become cloudier with time (I had an old Garmin GPS that just got so opaque that it was like the thing developed a large cataract).
