Sunday weather was really good, so I decided to check new lake in Parry Sound area for fall crappie action. Spent 1 1/2 hour to find them, the best bite was between 11:30am and 2pm. Half caught on tubes and half on minnows, biggest went home for cooking...

Really nice colours on those crappie. I am shocked a walleye didn't hit one of those minnows. Next five days is going to be great fishing if you can get out there again. Watch out for the wind though.

Yes, the gold colour of those crappies is bright, reminds a walleye.

Very nice. At some point, I will start looking for crappie in a couple of lakes that are close to me. WF are great to catch and eat but it's always fun to take a break to target and catch other species. I use to target crappie much more before the current quest of understanding WF in my area.
