Yeap, that is my first buck ever and I got him in Elgin County , near St Thomas right here in Ontario, Canada. I am still amazed how lucky I am to have gotten him. I am sending my story into Ontario Monster Whitetails, hope they like it.

holy ###### i didnt think bucks like that lived that south of me lol but every piece of bush can hold its very own trophy , yea just gota put time and work into it to find them , any bush will have its trophy buck , good nutrience in the soil results in lots of acorns and any other nuts or plants the deer eat , also genes play a big role in deer growth and antler growth , im in the same boat outdoorsman lol i know i have a sweet spot that holds awsome genes , and has really good nutrients in the ground to grow them up ,your a lucky man to have such a spot , i know hunters that would give thee left nut away to even hunt one season in spots like that , i consider myself really lucky as my father gave me his old spots and found new and better ones , but im just glad to get out and relax and hear the blood rushing through my head its that quite , gota love hunting , now just to find a women who takes interest in hunting and fishing lol

Hi Chronic,
We actually flagged a friend with a beat up 4x4 and had him drive in the trail. We tossed a towline over a large branch then had the truck hoist him up. We then tied him off and backed the truck under the branch then lowered as gently as we could

I am surprised the taxidermist didn't have it officially scored. I am getting exact same mount style as yours from Mapleton Taxidermy. They score the buck with an official for free. They also age the deer, give you a cool hat for your hide, a crest and a bill for $500, taxes included.

Some nice pictures guys. When Brain's Taxidermy done my mount for me, he offered to get it scored but I got it done myself by Don Mcvitty of Huntsville. He is an official scorer for Boone and Crockett, Pope and Young, Frow and Safari Club. He had done a previous one for me and I really enjoyed talking to him and looking at all his trophy heads and stories from all over the world.

hey guys , i asked the taxidermist to score it for me but he never got around to it as he was stuffed to the brim with animals and fish so i didnt press on as i was just glad to have my deer back , heard some crazy stories about taxidermists so glad my guy is awsome and deer came back safe and sound, my mount only cost $400 tax included and thats with show foam mounts and professional realistic eyes installed , witch i wasnt complaining one bit lol but for an extra 100 i could of got a back shield installed on him but im pretty handy with a router so ill do it myself, do 3 different shields to see what one works best , friends with band saw mills that can take up to 36ft logs is awsome , oh yea a question??? what wood would you guys use for your backing i want it to stand out but also look natural like hes in the bush behind a tree , lol to many ideas , any idea is greatly appreciated guys , also if bass pro shops has the scoring trailer there this spring ill get him scored there if not ill phone around or ask local bait and hunting shops
