Georgian Bay Fishing, early or late?, Salmon & Lakers

It is hard, due to family commitments, to get out early on the bay in the morning, which, based on comments here, is the best time to get out.
Is the evening really a really a bust or is it still generally a decent time to expect some action.

I can only say from years ago the last 2 hours before and about 1/2 hour after sunset used to be pretty good.
