A Newport Vessels 36lb 24" short shaft trolling motor with a 2-blade propeller (the reason I chose this trolling motor: 24" short shaft, and in particular 2-blade propeller which can go through the narrow rectangular opening in front of the seat on the kayak where the pedal drive goes through).
Also bought a 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 lithium battery.
So now before I head out, I can choose to go with electrical motor powered, or human flesh powered (with the pedal drive, that is:-)

Do you bring both pedal and e-motor out there or do you choose just one of them for the day and stick to that?
I only bring/have one (either the trolling motor or the pedal drive) with me on the water, as I can only use one of them at any time. Though I could bring both say placing the pedal drive at the bow area as a backup in case the trolling motor fails or the battery runs out... Thanks.

Okay, so you can bring both and switch things up easily if needed to. Very cool.

Depending of the water I go I chose the right device. The Skiff/kayak I have is a Wavewalk S4
You are on the good track James, sooner or later you will go all in electric. I went all in electric or gas, I paddle only to launch the kayak or as a backup propulsion.

Have fun and be safe.
Thanks. And with your boat, you have a great "collection" of electrical and gas motors!
