Lake Ontario 2021 DAS King Silver Salmon Challenge kayak division, 1st place fish
Big thanks to SSC for including a big fish from a kayak category this year.
It was a tough year on the pond. Not as many as the previous years. But the ones that hit the deck mattered. Warm water and terrible wind conditions definitely made me work for em!
Absolutely epic and surreal moment for me. It was a real struggle trying to land it. Dipsy with a lead longer than the rod didn't help lol. The anxiety and stress had the old ticker going a mile a minute.
The best part is I was able to capture it all on video. Woooooo 2021 DAS King Silver Salmon Challenge big fish from a kayak winner. 27.40lbs!

WOW is about all that needs to be said. just can't imagine catching a fish that size with that setup in a yak. I have a hard time in my boat with same setup. Congrats

Congrats Chrome Bullets ....I cant wait to be out there doing the same.....Kayak is still a work in progress.....Downrigger almost ready for mounting.....made a aluminium plate for it to sit on....attached to the rail......Natural Sports is questioning their MinnKota rep as to what I want regarding a motor.......should be petty hairy when I am done.

Thanks Arnie.
If you can, get a bow mount. I have had both stern and bow mounts on both of my kayaks. Bow was better in every way.

Thank you and yes that is the plan....riptide hoping to get a shortened shaft auto store and deploy with I-pilot....waiting for the rep at this point. Either possibly at 80# pending on pressure on the yak.
