I have had a Nucanoe Frontier 12 for about 8 yrs and was a member of Yakfisher online group for a few years. I bought a Minn Kota endura motor about 5 yrs ago but never mounted it...still in the box.
Is there a place where I can get it set up with wiring , battery etc so it is safe and ready for me to just attach the motor and go. Years ago, I would have attempted to install wiring, fuse and plug-ins myself but now I just want to have it done. There used to be people doing conversions etc on fishing yaks a while ago but the hype seems to have worn off, the web fishing boards have been replaced by facebook groups that are a mess.
Anybody still doing this?

I am in Pickering/Ajax area

Thanks
DuFf

Thanks,...I checked your post, you have done a great job with the Hobie
I have a Nucanoe Frontier 12 with an open deck for stand up fly fishing, I would have line wrapped around most of the gear you have installed.....Ha Ha.
I know how to do most of the job I need done but I just want to have it done and ready to go. I have a Hummingbird portable fishfinder so just need the Minn Kota powered and plugs and wires installed and hidden.

Have a great season, you are certainly prepared for Salmon etc.

Cheers

Thanks and yes I am looking forward to the challenge of fishing salmon soon.....yes and I was thinking you probably have a transom mount. I wish I could help you more and I wish you good luck. The place you purchased the yaks or a dealer near you may be a place to start....they must do some installing or know of someone in your area......after that try some of the large pro fishing stores in case they know someone.....I believe that "Pro Tackle Fishing" is out your way. It's one of the places I buy equipment from.

BTW.... I like the way you have your trailer setup....I think I have found my next project for next winter. I will mod my 14 ft tinny trailer to take the tinny on the bottom and the Hobie on the top as low as possible to the tinny.......can take both with me that way and choose weapons when I get there. Thanks for the thought........Arnie

Thanks.....that's the wifes Commander 120 on top, I have a 14 ft tinny I can load on the bottom in place of the Frontier if needed. I kept the boogie wheels intact so I can roll either boat to load/ unload. The racking is uni-strut strong and easy to cut and bolt on the frame....it too can be removed if I get another bigger boat (I had a 16' bowrider previously.)
My dealer was in Bracebridge so I will have to look local.

Cheers
