Kayak Fished Yesterday, Hobie Pro Angler

Got out with a buddy in search of some fish yesterday. Launched at the public boat launch at Whitby Harbor. Unfortunately the launch is still closed, so parked on the road and walked to kayak's in. Docks are in and ready to go, but Town said likely will open after April 15th.

Was planning on heading the Buffalo, but remember the Solar Event and the boarder would have been a mess.

Got there around 9 am and was a beautiful day. Even ventured a ways out beyond the harbour walls in search of some catch and release smallies, but did not find any.

No luck in the habour for Pike. Water was stained and murky. Water level was lower than normal.

At the end of the day with the rigs.

Nice to get out for sure, and two beautiful kayaks right there!:-)

PS: I was also kayak fishing yesterday but up north on a lake in Haliburton region, and landed just one but big herring (which was what I was targeting)

Thanks for the report. Launch is open now, was out for a bike ride yesterday and saw. Gonna try to get out for some pike next week maybe.

Good to see these reports guys. I just got back from Ireland. Fished once there but no luck....now will concentrate on getting the seat finished in the kayak and give it a test run. April 15 taking a charter out of Owen Sound. Thx for your reports.
