Got a call from my brother at 8am and we were on the water at a stocked splake lake by 1.

It was so cold we could only troll because after only a few minutes of casting our hands would start to go numb. So no scenery shots either, just tuck down in the chair and try to stay warm.

We didn't see any other people all day which is perfect.

8 fish in total (all released) this was the biggest of the day, no monster but I'll take in in November. Lots of follows right to the boat and lots of missed fish.

I was using a Small silver WW and the fish were only in 8-13ft.

I think that's me done until the ice comes.

Good job on getting out there. You are not supposed to torture yourself in the cold. Buy some wind pants and gloves and a big jacket to wear over your life jacket. Guess I just got used to fishing at night in the cold. But when it's damp and very cold, that's the worst because it hurts all over your body. Nice fish, maybe there will be a warmer day so you can go once more.

Yes, it's been quite cold up here. Listen to CM! Nice catches. That maybe a "species" I will target with some serious effort next year.
