DIY Grill for the Buddy Heater, ready to go

Hi All,
Figured I would post a pic of the DIY grill I made up for my buddy heater. The pic has a 2lb or so tub of drywall mud but it could hold a lot more (but would tip over!). Stole a cookie cooling grill from my wife and used some steel rod for the arms.

Can't wait to give it a shot...it will work sweet.

thanks everyone. Probably just going to use it to heat up some sandwiches but it is strong enough to boil a pot of something if you wanted to.

what are those like s brackets called that are holding up the grill? quite like this idea. do they just slip into holes on the buddy already or how is it attached?

Yes they just slip into the holes already in the buddy heater. The arms are just made from a $3 metal rod I bought at Home Depot. No holes were drilled in the buddy heater frame

Seems like a great idea. I would love to grill up some burgers on the ice. You'll have to let us know how it goes and if the food turns out.

Be careful with the plastic handle ... it takes a fair bit of heat but they will start to melt if a pan is to close(pan fry can go bad ) I use a tiny pan now. Nice design it looks really strong enjoy some hot food while out!
