I am quite tired of my kayak anchor line being a huge knotted mess all the time as I have 50ft and am rarely in more than 10fow. So I decided to get a couple mooring cleats and cut up an old wooden snowbrush handle to somewhat match the profile as a standoff to get more rope on there. Then I screwed the cleats to the wood and screwed them onto my crate with big washers from the inside out. Then I got some 3"abs and a cap drilled some drain holes and attached it to a 2x4 and again to the side of my crate. Hopefully it helps my sanity out on the water and isn't to hard to reach and grab and put back. Only have a pic of mfinished product and again it's nothing special but may get somebody else thinking and posting something better who knows. Cheers and tight lines everyone!
