Well... the hunt for lakers was an absolute bust!
Without electronics it was damn near impossible to stay put on the locations I had pinned with google maps (unsurprisingly). The wind was blowing hard for the time we were out there which didn't help either. We trolled some spoons on a 3-way swivel with heavy weights and jigged with some plastics but found no success.
The bass, however, were more than willing to play. Buddy's cottage has been in the family for generations. His pops says he's never seen bass the size of the ones I caught anywhere on the lake - and I nailed all of them right off their docks or from shore Everything was caught on a floating jerk minnow with 4/0 hook.
I only weighed the dark one and it was right on 4.5 lbs. HUGE for a little Muskoka lake.
