Looks like a great nigh CM and some nice fish. I am heading to Balsam Saturday to fish for the day and pull the boat out i hope it is still good. This will be my last soft water trip
Thanks flexkk, I hope you had good luck today. The fishing was still good last night, but not until after 2am.

Well done Jaime. That's quite a haul for the night.
I'm heading up to Balsam myself in the morning so see if the smallies are hungry still. I haven't had much of a chance to get out lately, but the outboard is screaming for a workout, and so is my casting arm!!
Thank you Lionel, it was a lucky night. Went back to Balsam again last night, I hope the fish were still hungry for you today, and you enjoyed your workout.

Wow nice fish!! Glad to see you’re getting out often again.
Thank you Jay, it has been amazing to be back out there on the water. I was going home today but changed my mind. Just can't miss this feeding frenzy the fish are on.

Went back out again last night. Started on Sturgeon, my friend called me and said get over to Balsam. Stayed on Sturgeon with my other friend until after midnight then headed to Balsam. Fishing picked up at 2am. This was Sturgeon at the rise of the moon.

Balsam was much better for some reason. Big walleye, medium walleye and lots of small walleye. Had this and a few from the fridge for an early dinner. I was going home today but changed my mind, going fishing again later.

Wow, nice to see some small walleyes...only good things for the future. And clearly, you are cashing in on some nice ones that you probably released when you had caught them when they were small. I am re-finding that this time of year has some great fishing and the weather has been amazing and it's so nice and quiet out on the lakes with most of the large boats taken out fro storage. I tend to see small boats and human-powered crafts these days. I can hear fish and loons splashing, which is helpful in making decisions to change spots sometimes, esp. if nothing is happening.
