Thousand Islands Vacation - Final Day

Well, we are heading home tomorrow morning after a great week of fishing. We were never skunked. The last few days had fewer keepers but more fish. Hubby caught another 32" pike yesterday and I caught a 25" as well. Both fish went back in the water as we have quite a few in the freezer. We also caught lots of other pike but they were in around the 20-23" range. With rain in the forecast tomorrow, we took the boat out and covered it since we had to go out for our 16th anniversary dinner and good thing we did since 3 nasty storms blew in very quickly. It has been a great time fishing here and now we have to leave and move the boat to Sturgeon lake. Hopefully we won't be disappointed in the size of fish from Sturgeon. Maybe we will target muskie for a bit since they are not open season here until next weekend.

Thank Jerry. I will be moving over to the Kawartha Lakes area now as the boat is back in Sturgeon Lake. Not sure if it is for the summer or just a few weeks as there is a Big Bass Tournament in Gananoque on July 7 & 8th. $500/hour for 2 days, $2,500 biggest bass from the 2 days, $50,000 tagged bass and entry fee is only $35.
