Had a great day, hit 4 lakes with mixed success and mixed ice coverage, my usual haunt was as still hanging onto ice, so it forced me to try plan B, and managed to find my whitefish on a new lake. The boat performed perfectly. I’m xtra double triple burned to a crisp now…. Water like glass all day.

Couldn’t go any farther, was enough ice stil that the boat want to ride on top lol. I backed up and we jigged for 20 min and a fish had the audacity to jump in front of us in the channel I had cleared….

That's a great report. Ice fishing and soft water same day. Don't forget your sunscreen when you get out again. Stay safe.

Awesome report.

If you’re fishing “through” the ice, you can have two lines….just sayin’

I was about to head out for some kayak fishing up north, too. But then just now look at the weather! We are back to winter time. AGAIN:-)

Saturday 22 and rain up my way, gonna fish in the rain I guess. Sunday is cold again. Very windy Saturday the whitefish will be going crazy.
Currently snowing, and has been all day.

Yeah I am debating...) On the one hand I want to head up north for some kayak fishing for whitefish this coming Saturday kicking off my kayak fishing season, but on the other hand weather forecast is calling raining all day this coming Saturday. Touch:-)
