> Crappie or perch with my son

My little guy has a day off school on Monday and he wants to perch or crappie fish . I only ice fish for them so was hoping to get some advice where to look for them?I was thinking back weedy bay? Thanks from Cooper and Kevin .

If you want perch, I would go to Lake Simcoe. Casey's have minnows now, according to a recent post. Crappie are hard to find during the day right now, unless you already have successful areas from years past. You might post this request on the Simcoe board. Did you try Balsam Lake last year, the last time we talked on this forum?

Only been to balsam once and got skunked. The problem is every time I try simcoe the wind is crazy high. Thanks for the info maybe I’ll have to check another lake.
