I am trying to head out for some fall fishing for the first time on Lake Simcoe launching in Port Bolster on Monday and Tuesday. I have been hearing great things about the fishing this time of year. My concern is the weather in which they are calling for 24km/h winds with gusts up to 35km/h. They are calling for East and South East winds. How are the conditions in this type of weather? Keep in mind I am fishing in a 16 foot boat. Any information would be helpful.

That is way too much wind for a small boat out on that lake. Now you could use the east shoreline for a wind break, but how far out would that be a benefit. Better to be cautious and safe on big wind days and stay off the water. Good for you for asking advice, a second and third opinion can save lives when it comes to boating. Welcome to the Fishing Forum, that's what it's here for. Good stories and pictures, and good questions.

Great advice! It's one thing getting wet in the summer, quite another this time of year. Simcoe can be very unforgiving.
If you made it out, hope the perch were on fire. If you didn't, there will hopefully be a few more calm days to sneak out (at least that's what I'm hoping LOL).
