Kind of got the site working again but all posts from the past 2 months are currently gone. Sorry. This is the backup I had stored.

Anyway, a major hardware failure on the server took down everything and trying to get things back up. BRUTAL!

This is a temporary server that was setup while they try and figure out what happened to the server running LSO. Basically it went Boom!

Hopefully sometime on Monday they will resolve the issues and we can get back the posts from the last 2 months.

UGH!

Yes so basically whatever we post tomorrow and possibly Monday will be deleted until the "real" server can come back online..

So please hold off submitting derby entries until I can get all the data back.

But for now - we can chat again..

What a nightmare! It went BOOM today around 11 AM.

I was told its a Major Hardware Failure and Engineers will be looking at it on Monday.

No need to apologize. This is a great fishing forum and you put in the work to keep it that way. I am sad though....thought I was dreaming....thought it was October again and was looking forward to fall fishing....Thanksgiving....Christmas and New Years again. TWILIGHT ZONE moment.

you do good work that benefits us all so no need for apologies. Plus doesn't sound like you had anything to do with it anyway, stuff happens.

Thanks everyone. I know it wasn't my fault. But I am peeved that this has happened now twice in a few months. Sorry my backup was from Oct. Holidays came and I took my eye off the ball. Will try to setup more robust backups going forward. Also battling the flu again, twice now this fall / winter -- which further peeves me. LOL

But everyone is getting sick these days... Very aggressive strains these days..
I used to never get sick, but i guess I am getting old.. LOL

Anyway, hopefully once the 'high level engineer guys' look at the blown-up server they can recover the lost 2 months.

On the bright side.. Looks like winter has arrived. Got snow here in the GTA east end. Feels more like ice fishing weather now..

Cheers & happy fishing!

Well it's official we lost 2 months of posts.

Long story short -- a very rare server failure occurred, lost two hard drives at once, the primary and the secondary / backup both corrupted and fried. yada yada, go buy a lottery ticket and win event.

If you posted a report, just re-post if you like. This is here to stay, not a temporary forum anymore

I received some messages about random errors still popping up. Thank-you. I will try to fix them as soon as I can.

I will also put up the derby links as soon as i can - so members can enter their catches.

We will survive.

don't worry about it...

Cheers & go fishing!

Thank you for trying to get the old posts and pictures back. Nothing is for sure in this world. Just like the big fish that got away.
