Horrible fishing this past weekend in this area. Maybe it was the change in weather, but we thought the warm up would actually help, not hinder. Maybe we were just in a bad spot surrounded by decent fishing, I don't know.
We went 2 weekends ago on a guys trip and smashed them. Same outfitter, but according to the GPS we were a few hundred meters away from last weeks coordinates. This weekend was our trip with the kids, so we had high hopes of showing the young ones a lot of fish because of last weekends results.
Caught about 10 on Friday, maybe 5 or 6 on Saturday, 3 on Sunday morning. Mostly Herring. Was really hard to stare at a blank panoptix screen all day long, waiting for an evening bite that didn't happen. Both nights.
The slush kept us from being mobile.
But that's fishing I guess. Can honestly say we've never caught less on Nip.

Hello Paddy,
Thank you very much for the report. Not very encouraging, but I will post when I get back. Maybe they move back in. First time with Greening Bay Cottages. Not sure what to expect, So far they have been nice to us.
Got my Drill Auger in case i have to move a bit outside. Let see if the Active target can find something

We were up with Greening Bay this past weekend too. Great people, bad fishing. Not their fault - we saw lots on the Livescope, just could NOT get them to take anything. Several walleye, a burbot, 3 perch. And we were fishing hard. We went mobile and found a shoal with a lot of walleye but they still wouldn’t take easily. We got a few, but they were extremely skittish.

We were with them this week (4 of us) Monday till today. Monday and Tuesday was slow only 5 small walleye. We were in about 22-24 feet of water. Wednesday they moved us out further to deeper water around 30-32 feet. Had our lines down around 1:30 and were catching nice sized perch within minutes. They kept coming in waves till around 5:30 when the Walleye rolled in. By 7pm we had 42 fish, 47 total for 3 days. 3 keeper walleyes rest perch 9-12 inches. Great friendly staff. We will definitely be using them again.
