Andrew. Looking good. If I find the size of the frame a problem I'll redo it with pins so I can break it down. Haven't figured where to put the pull rope yet so I'll try a few different spots my first time out and figure a permanent spot for it. Cheers and happy fishing.

As a suggestion, I'd drill a hole at the tips of the skis and tie the rope there... It will make pulling a lot easier.... That's where I have my rope tied!

No worries! By attaching the rope to the tips of the skis, you won't compromise the frame of your smitty by pulling too hard and you can apply as much force on the skis without damaging them. I'll see if I have a picture of mine and load it in later.

Looks good!
Here is a pic of the Smitty I made a couple of years ago.
Inch and one half pipe mounted to the skis with screws and glue. Upper piece 2 inch pipe which just drops over the lower pipe.
I can take the top all apart if I want, but all I do is take the top off and put it upside down in the back of my SUV, put the skis and everything else in on top.

Looking good Ralph and the new gas auger fits on nicely. I converted your old hand auger to use with my Dewalt 20V drill. Will take some pics and post it. Will do a video of it in action as well. We're gonna have to meet up soon and get our butts out there. Looks like mother nature's finally cooperating.

Congrats on the sleigh. Should be very easy to pull. You have kept the weight down to the bare minimum using a plastic tub and abs fittings. Might have to keep an eye on it on windy days and bare ice. Again; nice job.
Just curious as how you fastened the abs to the skis.

I am so happy you were able to take advantage of suggestions from this board! This is what makes this forum awesome! Let me know how you actually make out when you pull your Smitty though snow and ice. You're really going to love how easy it will be to pull your stuff out! Now..... Get out there and do your thing!
