Yesterday the Kings On the Bay Derby was held on Georgian Bay, fellow board member dave AKA Stealheader friend Karl and myself entered to compete with 26 other teams.This derby has been organized by board member KRAWLER and ran for a few years with interuptions by weather Covid etc, a great event put together by an individual on his own time with a lot of effort and time invested.Thanks KRIS Job well done.I dont have any official results i do know there were a lot of big lakers entered in the 4 fish box laker category ,bigger than our 4 fish box i might add . The salmon category was a three fish box total weight with a biggest fish category as well. The biggest fish category was won by a 23.5 pound salmon, again bigger than our biggest , but we did scratch out our 3 fish box with a combined weight of 28.30 pounds , good enough for 6th place out of 27 teams in the salmon category. NO cash but took home a few nice prizes. Great day with friends and a good way to meet fellow anglers on a perfect location, beach on Georgian Bay on a perfect hot summers day.
