Lake O tribs for March steelhead

Wondering if anyone has experience casting or trolling for staging steelhead in March? Was thinking of going to a trib near Toronto with the kayak to try and intercept a staging steelhead. I need something to do until ice out on our panfish lakes. Any advice or suggestions are welcome!

Hey,

It may be a little late for Ontario tribs but you may run into some late staging fish. We have been catching fish heading up river since mid-January. But every year is different and every trib is different depending on the region. If there are any left they will be very close to the mouth.


This is just from experience from seeing the fish heading up river already, I'm no expert.
