I’m in the process of getting my rig ready for the season, and wanted to see if anyone has any cool mods they can share?
My latest... I mounted my Helix 9 on a Ram mount to a small box I built with 24ah of batteries, which should give me a solid 18-21 hours of use. It will stay in the sled on the smitty as I bring the entire thing in the hut anyway. No more fiddling with my sonar to get setup... power, drop the transducer, and fish
Main mods I’m looking for ideas on are, auger racks, rod holders, mr. heater setups and general convenience things.
My goal as a walker with a thing for having space (pop up) is to be able to fish quick and pack quick to move without having to load and unload everything.
Show off some ideas if you have them... would love to be super efficient this season, and I’m sure there are some cool modifications out there.

Looks good, it’s tough to find the perfect setup. I’m trying to figure it out as well. I’m peanut butter and jealous of that helix 9. I can’t even justify the 7

wondering where the hut will go ? on top of that? If so deep snow may be an issue...
The hut is actually on the other side of the pelican. I bungee over everything and it works well. Never had an issue and add a 20lb tank. Heavy load, but pulls like butter! 😁

Looks good... you still have room for a rod case, minnow bucket, chair, shovel, "beverages," radio, spud, underwater camera, iPad, snacks and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things...lol I bring waaay to much for a Walker...that's why i find spots that are a short walk out Please post a pic when you are all packed up Thanks SS77

Nothing fancy but I can bring everything I need in a 109L tub. New set up for this year.
Thanks for that! I lifted the tub idea. 😁 Had to do a bit of butchering to my Pelican to get the fit right, but well worth it!
Smaller 5lb tank, and the 20 is back in the BBQ. More eyelets added for bungees in the right spots. Extended the smitty deck to spread out the weight rather than build it up (like I had it last year). The big tub is empty, and will be for food, drinks, backup clothes, tackle, etc.
I’m done. Nothing has to come off the smitty except the hut. Everything else stays loaded in its place. I’m beyond excited to be in better position to move quickly this year.
Only things left to look at... Add LED light, and rod storage... oh, and the forecast needs to get colder or I’m driving 6 hours north! Lol
