Well I put the boat away today and thought I would take a few pictures of what I do. So it took me 2 hr from start to finish. 1.5 hr of that to put cover on in 35k winds.

This picture is the hook that I use for the main beam. I use inside L brackets.

So use a 4x4 with a 2x6 screwed to the bottom for a base. I drill a hole and put a 6" boat through with a nut to hold the 2x4 beams. I need 2, 2x4 for the beam.

this is a picture from the front of the boat. all ribs and main beam are marked so I know where everything goes.

here the finished product. I need no tools after the first year. I use 2 tarps as one not big enough to do whole boat. Have to use bungee cord as I learned the hard way tying the tarp down, it ripped with in a month or 2. With the bungee i have only used 3 tarps in 9 years.

Works for me, I've got something similar for the summer, 1 1/4 thinwall tubes with push buttons to snap together keeps the cover further up with better run off. Keep the front and rear ends open just a bit to let the air blow through so no mold grows.
