Walkers - Whats your setup?

I feel like I've started collecting to much Ice Fishing stuff and pulling my sled by hand is getting heavy.

Ive got a Trek 60 sled and its overflowing haha. sonar, camera, rods, bait, tackle, heater, chairs, and the eskimo quackish 3 takes up a ton of space.

This thing is HEAVY, and is a lot of work pulling though snow. Almost needs skis on it or something.

Whats everyone use to pull their stuff by hand?

I converted one of those old wooden sleds, a shorter one into my walker rig. Just built sides on it with skid wood and 2 screws to attach the bungee cord/ratchet strap too.

Wax the bottom of the wood as well and it works pretty good - all I had at the time and it's season 2 still going strong lol

I created a bad-a## ice sled on skis and a hitch to pull behind my snowmobile I bought this year but that's another story lol

I made a smitty sled. Definitely a life saver.. Also have a quick fish 3i. Makes a world of difference. Look at getting director chairs they fold down flat. Then load your gear on top.

As mentioned above. Put it on a smitty and problem solved.

X2 on the smitty sled. Different variations out there. I’ve made some adjustments on it this year and so far so good. I also bought a harness to pull the sled with to make things easier, but a long rope will do.

I pull my own sled (home made) that includes 4 rods, artificial baits, a small cooler for minnows, a small camping stove to warm up food (occasionally), a folding camping chair, a 6" manual auger, accessories. The whole rig is very light. I do not use a separate heater. I carry on my back a 2 person rapala tent, very lightweight too. No electronics. It's very easy to pull.

And mine on a home-made/DIY smitty sled, with loads of craps (Eskimo Quickfish 3i pop-up hut, 5-lb propane tank, Milwaukee M18 drill + CLAM drill adapter plate + 8" auger, Mr Heater Buddy,....:-)

i started this way, BUT then you want more and more then we are having this conversation we have all done this. i love more fishing stuff lol

I bring way too much stuff, but the smitty makes its so much easier to pull that I don’t mind.

Dad just finished the Smitty today and it looks like there's a nice helping of snow to test it on.
