Greetings from the North Bay area.
My friend and I are heading out Monday (weather permitting) for a lake stocked with rainbow trout. I haven't fished for them before and figured I asked for some tips.
I'm going to try sparky302s tip: single gold hoke with a worm for still fishing or trolling it with a mepps comet #3 red and white blade. I'm going to change the treble hook to a single gold hook. Other then that, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks folks for you tips. Heading out tomorrow morning around 8am. I'll let you know how I make out. I also talked to the biologist who looks after the area I'm going and he said he never gets any feedback on the lakes they stock so, I call him too.

Well, spent four hours today checking out a lake I have never been on. Apparently it's was stocked with 1500 rainbow trout last fall. So, after trolling, still fishing, drifting casting and trying all the tips I received from everyone, all we came up with was two bass. Marked a number of fish at different depths, 7 through to 30'. Deepest part was 39'. I guess I will have to give it a go during the hard water season.
