Wind was just under 20kph from the sw before sunset. After dark, just over 20kph from the west. Then back under 20 and a direction change to nw later and not as strong, between 10 & 15 best guess. From drizzle to rain off and on until around 3am. Chilly and wet overall, but dry by the time the adventure was over in the morning. Lots of beautiful colours on the many pan fish. Not all the beautiful fish are in salt water.

Fishing was good but just one small walleye, lots of pan fish and crappie. Had to use many baits back and forth. A bait would catch a fish, then not. Switch bait catch a fish then not. Switch and switch some more. Cranks, jigs, different colours and sizes. Most crappie around 12 inches. Kept 3 for the BBQ. Eleven, twelve and just under fourteen inches. Next adventure will be Thanksgiving, if we are not too full of turkey and pie etc. Stay safe.

Nice. Pumpkinseeds are pretty nice looking freshwater fish. Lots of freshwater fish in the Amazon and all the other connecting rivers, etc. that are as nice looking as many saltwater fish. Wished we had such great panfish fisheries up here as in the Kawarthas....it's pretty amazing how many pan fish come out of those lakes.

Thanks Flukes. Yes the Amazon must be something to see and fish. Ontario has around 160 species of fish. The Amazon has thousands of different species swimming around down there.

Good job CM. I stayed in that evening. Fishing has been slow until that wind picked up seems to have triggered the fall bite a bit. Lots of bass but not many walleye to be found.

Thank you Shank. Not much choice, just had a 12 hour window to fish this week. LOL. A bit more time around Thanksgiving.

Thanks Drew, bacon and eggs and crappie for a family lunch. Yes I hate wasting time switching baits. Three St. Croix Panfish rods as always. One with the slip bobber, and two for crank baits.

Thanks flexkk, my friend text me last night around 11pm. It was a perfect evening for walleye last night, after dinner. He caught one over 19 inches and one over 20 inches. The 20 inch went back in the lake.

Good on ya for getting out, seems like you always find something out there! There will be ice before we know it and I may be out after those crappies again… although I may have another spot in my sights. No fishing for me at this point, we do a big Halloween set up that I’m already working on. Good luck out there!

Thank you Jay, just got lucky. I have always said fishing is 90% luck. Last night my friend text me that he caught some walleye. Today my other friend called me and he also caught some walleye last night. They were about two miles apart and both caught some nice fish. If I was fishing with one or both of them at different times, maybe there would have been a few walleye for me to catch as well. Or maybe not, maybe no walleye on my line at all. We can fish hard and have all the proper equipment. Be in the right place and know the fish are hungry and feeding. Still, you never know for sure. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. Good luck with your Halloween display.
