This will be my first early spring trying for Lakers. Realizing the season is open my concern is the ice conditions. I have reviewed web sites etc for conditions but would appreciate your opinion or resource on how to know/when to go safety in this respect. Thanks in advance.

Ice is gone but there are still logs and debris floating around out there to keep an eye out for.

In the spring, is the strategy to fish the edges of the stained water? When typically does the fishing start to pick up in front of the Notty?
