Awesome walleye fishing. Beautiful fish in that lake. Think I have said this before, big walleye fight. Seen many, many, anglers underestimate big walleye, and lose fish. What ever rod is in use, it's all about the jig and drag on the reel. I like that you set the hook properly and don't rip the face off the fish. You have lots of fish-wisdom, and you are still a kid. Keep it up.

Thanks crappeeman! The lake definitely has some nice fish in it! This was my first time fishing it and I would say we did very well for the amount of time we spent on the water. I tried to keep the video focused on the topic of suspended walleye fishing but man did we catch a bunch of smaller sized walleye and big smallies on ned rigs! It was especially amazing when we’d find a big school of 6-10 smallies in the +4lb class suspended 5ft below the surface, it was almost as if they were going to kill each other to try and get the bait first. Those suspended fish are just so fun to target because you just know they are out there looking for food and they do not mess around! I like to keep my drag a tad loose so it may seem I am swinging for the fences but giving walleye a good hookset is key in my experience, this is especially true for when I am using heavy gauge hooks with big swimbaits! Those boney mouths make it so easy to lose fish if you dont ensure a good hookset, which is why a lot of walleye anglers like to keep their drag tight for the hookset and then immediately loosen it up for the fight! And I could not agree with you more, having a good jig thats sticky sharp, a good rod to handle the fight and drag set properly is crucial!

Thank you so much! I will probably be doing a part 2 where I talk more about this pattern and show more footage of the livescope feed itself, that way people can get a feel for what exactly I am doing and how I respond to the way a fish may react!

i liked this video a lot...way to smash some big eyes

i didn't comment on your prior video because i saw you do something i am totally against, so please take it as constructive observation

sine you are making vids, then you need to show all the good things about tactics but also care for the resources in that video you reties a knot and cut off the tag end and tossed/spit it into the lake

big no no imo

we have most likely done it, but over the years learned not to do it........garbage bag does the trick

please take this for what it is worth and keep doing what you are doing
