OK, just thinking out loud. Have been coming up to Nipissing ice fishing for long over 20 years. First, we stayed at the Waltonian, then Greening Bay, like the new owners. Just asking if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations for a possible new place. We are all in our 70’s so enjoy coming in for lunch (Will pay the extra costs for transportation). Any suggestions?

We always come during the week, not weekends.

Birchhill camp on Lake Nosbonsing worked for me a couple years ago. Huts are located close to shore and they deliver you door to door from cottage to hut and back. I imagine most of the operators would help you out tho. Good luck!

Sandy bay is a good option, fyi transportation to their huts is through Chilly Willy so coordinating a trip in for lunch may be challenging when they have their bungalows in full operation but they are great people and will do their best I'm sure. I see bear creek has sold their bungalows but still offer day hut/cottage packages but coming in for lunch could be a problem as well. worth a call though.

Paradise cove is on the west side. their huts are set up in the cove right in front of the cottage so you can easily walk to and from the cottage at your liesure. Huts had wood stoves for heat a couple years ago. Not a big operation so will book up quick.
