This is for sure the earliest start of an ice fishing season for me! I mean on December 14th!

Early this morning I together with a buddy went to Tudhope Park, LAKE COUCHICHING, in Orillia looking for some ice fishin'. When we were just about to "launch", there were two guys coming in from the lake telling us there were no fish no bites at all. So we headed back, and stopped at Little Lake near Barrie (where there is currently much better ice), and ice fished there for 3 hours, and we together caught a couple of small hammer handles, and lost a couple of them at close to hole.

Was it cold (when it is only mid December)! It was around -20C with strong/blowing wind! It was brutal!!! Anyway we had some good time on ice for sure.

I think the ice was around 4 to 5 inches for sure. And good luck tomorrow! And watch out the weather tomorrow (could be very nasty!:-)

Hey James I should have known you would be one of the 1st out there
Is that your Eskimo Quickfish or someone else's? I thought you might have picked one up after helping me set-up a couple times.

James, I gotta tip my hat to you. I went outside for about 2 minutes yesterday. That was more than enough for me.
