Remember ice conditions can vary. 4 1/4" somewhere does not mean very close it is less.... It is suppose to warm up during the day, with some winds you could end up on an ice flow. The lake is not yet full frozen. Just because someone shows you a photo for 4 1/4" somewhere does not mean it is good to go. No one said where it is (depth, close to shore, 100 ft out etc.) Fishing Port B you have to go for a hike to find fish. Early ice was always to dangerous type!

Agreed Evean. and it is/can be a long hike to get out there unless you fish tighter to shore But it's just an ice report and no one is saying to go ot not. It's great idicater thought that we have ice forming up well. For myself , I will take 4-5 inches of blue ice over 6-8 inches of white ice anytime. I got a strong feeling I will be on ice before Xmas,
