Hey guys….first off, I have a restricted Radio Operators Certificate.
However, Im new to the marine aspect of it. I work in aviation. I know about channel 16 and 9…..but what are the other channels to be scanning??? Other than weather.
The Cobra radio (manual) has all the channels and who's who but are there any differences here at home in Canada?

Here on Simcoe I scan 16 and 26. 26 is commonly used by the Coast Guard, Police etc. as their working channel. I think you can safely ignore 9 here in Canada. It's really only a calling channel elsewhere and only monitored by the Coast Guard in certain areas.
