Thought I'd weigh in here. I've been out probably 7 times since the opener, had a few wrinkles with the new boat to iron out. I had a little trouble early on finding fish with those cold water temps but managed a few good ones each outing nonetheless. Since the warmup the fishing has been fantastic with "keepers" representing the majority. I throw them all back anyway. The spring fishing is definitely better this year than last. Other guides that I've spoken too have all said the same thing. If you know how to target those larger fish, getting a limit is easy.

Just got back on Saturday from Glen Echo. We had a group of 4 and caught nearly 400 walleyes though only four were over 18 inches. Plenty of large perch for lunch. Caught and released a 19.5 inch small mouth. Great week!

Great week? All four of you averaged 14 walleye every day for 7 days and you say great week? And that's not even talking about the perch, bass and whatever else you caught. The sheer total number of fish is crazy. Well done.
