Just a short fishing report for Meaford (Big head), Owen sound (Sydenham) and SouthHampton (Saugeen).

Meaford has slowed with still a few Salmon and the odd Rainbow. But we have been receiving a considerable amout of rain so the fish should turn on soon.

Owen Sound lots of Salmon just below the Sanctuary and out into the Harbour with the odd Rainbow and brown around. Again lots of rain.

Saugeen has a few Rainbow and really no Salmon as of yet.

Bait used included roe and rapalas with better success with the body baits in Owen Sound. Light casting spoons working better in Saugeen and floating roe used in Meaford with limited success.

I believe knowing fish are in can make the drive more rewarding, than taking a long drive to find out that no fish are around.

Fished the Saugeen on Thursday but no luck( lost one on breakoff). Water is gin clear and the fish are spooky. Some Bows being caught. No fresh salmon coming up -- we need a good flush of fresh rain water to get them moving.
