I was told just to kill the things MNR and OFAH (Golbies) when caught, so I let the fish kill them, they were full of them and crayfish, I think Simcoe is loaded with them now, like zebra mussels 15 years ago, comorants and bass seem to like them, making them larger anyway?
Yes we had a BIG family croud to feed, saved a few bucks and better then KFC

Is anything better than KFC??? Give your head a shake, I think the mercury from your fish id going straight to your brain Now if we want to know the current temperature, we just look at poidy's face.
They may also lay charges on you for harvesting small mouth bass using live gobie as it is illegal to possess live invasive fish including: round goby, tubenose goby, grass carp, bighead carp, black carp, silver carp, rudd, ruffe and any species of snakehead.
See attached link .... Scroll down to the bottom and READ the last paragraph .
What you can do
* Report new sightings.
* If you catch a round goby it should be destroyed and not released back into any waters! Never use gobies as bait – remember it is against the law to use them as bait or have live gobies in your possession.
* Always dispose of your unwanted bait and the contents of your bait bucket or bait bucket water on land or in the trash – it is illegal to dump the contents of a bait bucket into any waters or within 30 m of any waters.
For more information or to report a sighting, call the Invading Species Hotline 1-800-563-7711 or visit www.invadingspecies.com. This hotline is a partnership between the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

A bit off topic but ...... I caught a 6" Gobie last week on a stick bait. It was really black and the ugliest thing I have ever pulled out of the lake.

Poidy, just make sure you don't use gobies for bait, if you catch them, destroy them.. You shouldn't face punishment this time since you were using golbies and not gobies..
There are a lot of people out there that still don't know this, or a lot of the rules for fishing in Canada for that matter.. There are a lot of little tricky regulations in there that take time to learn and remember..Here's a couple of examples in the picture straight from the regs book..

Seabass is right. If you Google goby eats zebra mussels you will find many articles about how contaminated the mussels and gobies are . The walleye and bass are eating the gobies and the fisherman are eating the walleyes and bass . The contaminants are finding it's way up the food chain. If you read the Guide to Eating Sportfish in Ontario you will see that large old fish are heavily contaminated.

They got on the hook off the bottem on the way up the bass ate them... that's what happend, surely not on purpose, as said, dispose of on sight,
As for the fish caught, yeah kinda knew that would go off in the wrong direction in this thread, just proving a point to some other members that it would go that way...different opinons make for good readin on this site, if everyone was with PETA we would not be here
It's all good, just don't break the law, be safe, have fun
