Greetings from Halifax.
We have been down here nearly 3 weeks visiting family and fiddle friends.
Yesterday was an interesting day as hurricane Arthur hit the area. Not much rain but very strong winds.
Lot of areas lost power but we were OK where we were. Trees down in some areas, but not near us.
My wife the "fiddler" was playing in the Maritime Fiddle Championships and we were inside all day and we never lost power. She took 3rd place in her category.
No fishing on this trip.
Back late Tuesday and hope to get out on Simcoe later this week.

Hey Ralph good to hear you made out ok. My family lost power but no major damage. Lots of water in NB though. I am heading down the last week of July. I have a place booked on the N shore of PEI for a week where my father, sister & family will join us. Down & back through the US through the White Mountains. I will be bringing the rods

Hey Ralph I was on Cape Breton Island last weekend through the storm. Same thing lot's of wind not much rain. Saturday was supposed to be the last day for lobster fishing but all pulled in their traps Friday and Sunday was supposed to be the first day for crab fishing but they had to wait until Monday to set their crab pots due to the storm. Congrat's to the wife on her 3rd place finish
The locals called it a nice breeze and were mad the rain missed them as it is pretty dry down there, go figure
