Spent another week up at the cottage with family. No walleye keepers but I need to bone up on getting them in the net. As soon as they see the boat they become superfish and spit the hook. Couple of fair size pike and some perch hit the frying pan and this 4lbs bass lived to fight again.

Not sure but it sounds like you may not be keeping the line taunt. The slightest bit of slack and they will spit the hook.... We were at Glen Echo this past June. Caught a lot but only 4 over the slot. Good luck!!

Thanks Kevin, I did feel the line go slack for a second as he came closer to the boat.Maybe I should have reeled in faster at that point.
