Headed out to the cottage last Sunday to try for some pickerel (walleye) and musky. What a beautiful day. So threw on the trolling lures and a couple hours later...nada. What a bummer. So decided to try casting, and after the usual spots didnt even produce a single strike we decided to go shallow and try some places we haven't seen anyone fish before. I'll let the pics speak for themselves, but we caught some monster bass in the afternoon and it made for a great afternoon of fishing with my old man.

Beauty fish.
I've found the same thing this year. They are not as deep as usual. Water temp is off.

Thanks guys. Ya, all the bass we caught we in water between 1 & 3 ft deep. All mine were caught with an 8" jointed rapala in silver (i was really trying to get a musky or two), while my dad's were all caught with a little mepps #2 spinner in red/white.
