Walleye and Crappie, Pigeon, Buckhorn, Sturgeon Lakes

Hello,
I am attending a species tourney in mid to late September in the Pigeon, Buckhorn and Sturgeon lakes area. All of the fish we will catch will be released, but I need some good spots/techniques to catch walleye and crappie in these lakes. Please let me know any advise or hot spots that you can share. know that I do not live in the area so I will not be coming back to haunt your hot spots!

What is a species tournament?

What type of tournament is it? How many boats participate? Can you give the dates?

Appreciating you are new to LSO would want to think it reasonable you offer something of interest . . .
